Oceanco Display New Design - Project Magnitude

Based on the original Y700 Oceanco Series, Project Magnitude is a 90m superyacht concept, combining innovation with intelligent and functional design.

With the impressive series of Oceanco Yachts in the Y700 series such as the Y707 and the Y708, comes a new, natural design from Lukasz Opalinski. Project Magnitude is a yacht which exemplifies the innovation of superyacht design whilst maintaining the performance envelope of technical and operational feasibility.
Lukasz Opalinski, a designer with a luxury background, and John Henson, an ex-captain and solutions partner to Mr. Opalinski, created the concept combining aerodynamic styling with state-of-the-art technology and functional, luxury design.
Speaking to Project Magnitude’s designer at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Lukasz Opalinski noted, “it is full of innovative elements that we believe are ground breaking, such as her natural lines and the application of glass surfaces that create much lighter interiors and bigger visual spaces … a lot of the main key features include the watersports deck that opens up into a unified platform which allows you to launch jet-skis, submarines, anything, even take a morning jog.”
Project Magnitude offers a “super intelligent and intuitive environment designed to complement the elegance and comfort on board.”
Her interior reportedly furthers the design elements seen on her exterior, created with flowing interior spaces and an impressive split level owner’s apartment.

THE PARADISE ISLAND

The super yacht that comes with its own VOLCANO: Multi-million pound boat which is a paradise island

Mail on Line

This is the next super-yacht set to hit the world's oceans - which comes complete with its own functioning volcano and floating tropical islands.
The vessel - dubbed the 'Tropical island Paradise' - has been designed by British boat builders Yacht Island Design, from Derby, Derbys - some 90 miles from the sea.
The extravagant 295ft ship boasts a towering volcano with a cascading waterfall which feeds the swimming pool.

Luxury: This yacht will soon be cruising the oceans with its very own floating tropical islands

And playboys will feel right at home with the ships helicopter landing pad and huge bar set behind a series of beach cabanas.
Studio director Rob McPherson at the Derbyshire firm, who have also created the Streets of Monaco super-yacht, said: 'The exterior was designed to give the impression of waves breaking around a volcanic island, whilst maintaining the look of a contemporary yacht design.
'It comes with its own private beach cove and a waterfall cascading down from a volcano.
'This design centres around a secluded island paradise, with elements inspired by the islands of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Polynesia. It is set to be a big hit when it comes onto the market.'
The lavish yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests - and can travel along at a top speed of 15 knots.
The main deck is a secluded beach 'cove' of cabanas surrounding a massive ocean view swimming pool.

Spectacular: There is also a huge helicopter landing pad for those quick trips to shore
And should the millionaire future owners get tired of taking a dip in the pool, they can sail out into the sea on their very own floating island complete with deck chairs and palm trees.
McPherson added: 'We had two reasons for designing such a boat. The first being that it's good fun, and secondly the current market is pretty saturated with designs that look fairly similar.
'Our mission is to work on incredibly fun designs and carve a niche for ourselves within the market, a place where other designers fear to tread.'
Inside the huge, towering volcano is a cinema, library, games room, gym, spa and VIP suites - including an owners pad spread over two decks.
The boat - which has yet to hit the market and hasn't had a price set - is causing waves in the boat building world with its unique design.

View from the top: The lavish liner can accommodate up to 10 guests and has a landing pad and huge bar set behind beach cabanas.

Roman Abramovich's Mega Yacht "Eclipse"

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's mega-yacht Eclipse left the dock of shipyard Blohm and Voss in Hamburg, Germany.
The 557-foot Eclipse reportedly comes with features including two helipads, a submarine, multiple hot tubs, a pool and a missile-detection system. Another story has Eclipse with "two swimming pools -- the larger of which converts into a dance floor when drained -- bullet-proof glass, 6ft home cinema screens in every guest cabin and a master cabin where the roof opens to allow Abramovich and his girlfriend Daria to sleep under the stars. An anti-paparazzi electronic "shield" will take care of their privacy while on board."
It is the largest private yacht in the world, beating the 532-foot yacht Dubai, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, and is Abramovich's 5th yacht, although he sold one and gave another to his ex-wife. Online reports have estimated it costing anywhere from $400-$800M.
